JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for coordinating and supervising work of shipping supervisors and their team members. The General Forman will be expected to continuously develop, and mentor Team Members via leading the department Supervisors and General Forman using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a “Creekstone Proud culture through attitude and actions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Track DDT’s and expedite loads if necessary

Responsible for Supervising all supervisors and supporting their hourly team members in the DC.

Reports information appropriate and timely to the shipping manager.

Ensuring the areas is supportive and safe for all team members.

Provide leadership and operational direction to a group of salary employees

Balances quality, productivity, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works continuously improve in all areas

Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development.

Assures that all employees follow company policies, procedures, and established work instructions

Oversees training/cross training of assigned staff, appraises performance and initiates discipline process

Accountable for ensuring that all health and safety policies and regulations are enforced, by issuing disciplinary actions. Performs accident investigations

Ensures all loads are correct and shipments are made on time.

Excels to meet DC KPIs.

Verifies labor hours and payroll report accuracy

Oversee areas to include domestic, exports, combos, freezer, and other areas as needed

Any additional job duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures

Prior supervisory experience and leadership skills in a food manufacturing environment.

Beef plant experience and bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required, College degree is preferred

Experience working with a diverse group of people.

Ability to maintain high expectations for self and others, demonstrating a dedication to achievement of results.

Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.

Solid problem solving, project management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.

Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful.

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Climbing occasionally, stooping occasionally, crouching occasionally, standing for 8 or more hours per day, walking frequently, pushing frequently, pulling frequently, gasping frequently, repetitive motions frequently, lifting: 0 – 100#; Able to work in a variety of environments, such as humid, hot, cold, wet, etc.; Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – hard hat, safety-toe boots, safety goggles, hair/beard net, etc.
