Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a specialized Quality (QC) Final Inspector Level II to join its Brea, CA team! The Final Inspector Level II will perform visual, electrical and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies. This position will also be responsible for performing receiving inspections of outsourced processes and final assembly inspections while recording results and preparing various quality documents. Qualified candidates will have experience with microscope inspection for at least 6 hours per shift. Also, inspection experience in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS)/printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) industry with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole (THT) operations experience is required.

Responsibilities of the QC Final Inspector Level II:
Read blueprints and/or engineering specifications to obtain information such as specified material, electrical, cosmetic requirements and workmanship instructions.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies to ensure workmanship which complies with the appropriate requirements from engineering drawings, process specifications, IPC-610 standards, J-STD-001 and customer specific criteria.
Performs inspection on electrical or electronic components by using electrical meters or instruments to confirm adherence to electrical specifications.
Performs inspection of conformal coating under both black and white lights.
Perform and record results of first article inspections of boards after Through-Hole.
Perform sub-assembly, box build, shipping, and receiving inspection as required.
Assist in failure investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action activities and quality improvement projects.

Qualifications of the QC Final Inspector Level II:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years of related inspection experience in electronics manufacturing services (EMS)/printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) industries.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specifications and PCB Gerbers.
Skilled in electrically measuring resistors and capacitors. Expertise in reading component values by inspecting parts.
Must have 20/20 visual acuity with or without glasses and color vision, manual dexterity required for operation of inspection equipment, and adequate physical mobility to go out onto the production floor to collect samples, communicate with floor personnel, etc.
Knowledge of various computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe).
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
