API Tester

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for an API Tester (with Camel & Java Support)

Title: API Tester

Job Type: Fulltime/Contract on W2

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: San Francisco, CA- Hybrid

As an API Tester, you will:

Design, develop, and execute test cases for RESTful and SOAP APIs using tools like Postman, Karate, SoapUI, or RestAssured.

Automate API testing and validate functionality, performance, and security.

Support and troubleshoot Apache Camel routes and Java-based applications.

Deploy and manage applications on Red Hat OpenShift, with knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure thorough test coverage and document results.

Identify and report bugs, ensuring APIs meet functional and non-functional requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience with RESTful and SOAP API testing

Proficiency in tools like Postman, Karate, SoapUI, RestAssured, or similar

Knowledge of API authentication methods (e.g., OAuth, JWT, API keys)

Understanding of Apache Camel for integration workflows

Ability to troubleshoot and support Camel routes and components

Hands-on experience with Java for debugging and minor development tasks

Familiarity with Java-based frameworks like Spring or Spring Boot

Knowledge of software testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, performance testing)

Experience with test automation frameworks for APIs

Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes concepts

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: Between $55-- 65per hour>

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
