Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team in Pinehurst, NC.

A day in the life of a PMC Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner may include:Assess patient health status including state of wellness, compliance with care plan and determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.Provide acute and chronic patient care including taking histories, d monitoring therapies, giving injections and medicationsTriage patient calls and evaluates patient problems.Make responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent medical practitioner.Respond to emergencies including use of CPR.Document patient information and care provided in patient record and maintains department statistics.

Uses computer to access/enter needed data.Develop as needed health education programs and materialsWork collaboratively with all members of health care team.

Educate patients and families as appropriate.

Performs other related duties as required.

Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays Pay Type: Salaried (Exempt) Required QualificationsMust have an active license to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina as a Registered Nurse.

Must have written approval by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the North Carolina Medical Board to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or current North Carolina PA license, certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.BLS/CPR Certification required Preferred QualificationsTwo or more years of work experience as a NP or PA preferred.

What will you do as a PMC Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner: You'll play a key role in patient care by working in collaboration with a supervising physician.

Emphasis on patient care, stable acute illness reprieve, health promotion, and illness/injury prevention.

Coordinates staffing and orientation of assigned team members.

Plans and conducts ongoing education and training.

Maintains infection control/safety standards, and is committed to providing and promoting patient-centered communication and care.

This role will oversee the stress testing in our treadmill room.
