SUMMARY:
Compounds, mixes and blends chemical batches by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Weighs quantities of materials for use in the manufacturing processes.
Places loose or packaged material on scales and adds or removes portions of material to obtain specified weight.
Reads work order or formula to determine types and quantities of materials to weigh and procedure to be followed for manufacturing process.
Records weight of materials used for production records, and maintains perpetual inventory of materials used and on hand by recording and marking drums.
Dumps materials in prescribed sequence into vat, hopper or mixing pot.
Monitor and log time and temperature as specified on Batch ticket.
Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor.
Transfers weighed materials to production or storage areas.
Records information such as weight, type of product, date and batch number of products produced.
Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of manufacturing process.
Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other routine duties.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Additional requirements for the position also include but are not limited to:
Follow all safety guidelines and processes
Speak, read and write English effectively
Learn to use and operate scan guns to report and control inventories
Able to lift 55 lbs. bags in a constant rhythm
Physically able to work 8 hrs. shift (3 shifts – must be open to working any shift)
Possess minimum math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
Being able to work in a hot and dusty environment (safety PPE provided)
Have reliable transportation
Lean and practice Lean Manufacturing Techniques
Complete required safety training
Dependable
Must wear required safety PPE
Drive to succeed and grow within the organization
Be willing and able to learn to operate forklift safely.
Standing, walking production area, lifting, bending, climbing stairs, required for duration of shift.
HS Diploma or equivalent GED
