Position Summary:

The Prior Authorization and Scheduling Specialist is a position that will provide an efficient “one step” scheduling and prior authorization for patient testing, procedures and referrals/appointments.

Training and Continued Education

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates or higher preferred.

Knowledge and experience with computers and electronic medical record software, telephones, copy and fax machine.

Demonstrate knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits, and healthcare backgrounds.
