Job Summary
**Part-Time Temporary Position: 25 Hours per Week **
In this role, you will gain valuable experience working with +aerospace composite structures while evaluating and qualifying essential process materials utilized in Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding (VARTM). Your responsibilities will include drafting Engineering Work Orders (EWOs) to facilitate the testing and qualification of these process materials.
You will also document the trials conducted on process materials, compile comprehensive reports detailing the results, and provide informed recommendations for future applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative aerospace projects while enhancing your technical expertise in composite materials.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to test essential process materials used in VARTM operations.
Meet with program managers, engineers and manufacturing supervisors to determine the scope of work and evaluation priorities.
Distill complex technical concepts into clear and concise writing to support realistic test plans and defect free manufacturing.
Document a process trials using photographs and other visual media.
Write individual test reports and update qualified products specifications for essential defense aerospace structures.
Perform other duties as needed

Job Qualification (Education/Skills/Experience):
Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a technical discipline.
The ability to establish a good working rapport with technical teams by asking thoughtful questions and contributing to productive discussions.
Ability to write clearly in a manner that is professional and grammatically correct.
The ability to generate graphics to communicate concepts such as vacuum bagging designs, material descriptions using Microsoft Word.
Can capture and communicate moderately complex technical concepts for both technical and general audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Must be able to take direction from the Engineering Manager and work within a budget.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience producing written material for technical audiences
Familiarity with fiber reinforced composite materials and related manufacturing processes
