Senior System Administrator

Job Description

Salary:

We are currently seeking aSenior System Administratorin support of an Army customer in Huntsville, AL. This position requires experience with a wide variety of enterprise technologies with an emphasis on delivering and supporting Windows, Linux andcloud basedinfrastructures. The successful candidate should have a proventrack recordof designing systems that meet complex requirements as well as planning,testingand deliveringsolutions.

Duties:

Create solutions that align IT systems with the needs of the organization

Design virtual systems to include both servers and desktops

Design the deployment and maintenance ofhighly availablevirtual desktop solutions

Support implementation of the Software Defined Data Center using VMware technologies

Support the deployment of systems and services within a commercial cloud service such as Azure or AWS

Design and support system engineering solutions

Design, deploy and supportDevSecOpsenvironments

Must be able to deploy andmaintainsolutions within DoD compliance parameters

Develop documentation artifacts and plans

Set standards for resource andcapacitymanagement of all enterprise systems

Provide performance tuning strategies and their implementation

Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery solutions

Work with managers toinsureprojects are completed successfully and on time

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems(or related field) and 10+ years of experience.

Active Security clearance.

Active CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent or greater.

An acceptable Computing Environment certification.

Technical Skill Requirements:

VMwareESXi, View, SRM andvCloud

Experience with a wide variety ofWindows and Unix operating systems

Experience supporting Cameo andMagicDrawdeployments

Networking concepts

General Storage Area Network knowledge

Good documentation and communication skills

Must be self-motivated and willing to take ownership of issues

Special Requirements

Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Must have a Secret clearance or be capable of obtaining an interim Secret clearance.
