Our Security Operations team is responsible for delivering backup, maintenance, and security services for our clients. Although this is a hybrid position, candidates must live within driving distance to our Sterling Heights, Michigan office as the position requires on site client visits.

We are looking for a Systems Administrator to support managed services at our client sites. This person will support a variety of services including traditional endpoint security, advanced managed detection and response security, network security, cloud security, security awareness training, and multi-factor authentication.

Our top priority is to ensure that our clients are receiving managed services in accordance with their agreement and industry best practices and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

This position will focus on deployment and care/feeding for managed services. You will work with our clients to onboard services, coordinate changes to services, resolve problems impacting services, and manage service delivery platforms. This role will have primary responsibility for our password management, managed cybersecurity, and security awareness training platforms.

Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of service

Install software, configure systems, manage service portals, and integrate cloud services

Troubleshoot errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues

Enter time entries that meet or exceed ticket quality standards

Independently complete tickets and tasks and follow up in a timely manner

Participate in on-call rotation

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or related degree/equivalent combination of work experience) preferred.

Professional certifications (A+, Server+, Security+)

Additional related certifications will be taken into consideration

5 years of system administration experience

Experience with PowerShell scripting

Skills:

Working knowledge of virtualization and cybersecurity

Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking, and commonly used cloud-services

Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing operations best practices

Strong knowledge in security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
