The Excalibur Group is currently seeking a Job Developer to join our dynamic team, supporting the local community and workforce initiatives in Washington, D.C.
SUMMARY
The Excalibur Group is dedicated to transforming lives by helping TANF recipients in Washington, D.C. secure meaningful employment. We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Job Developer with a strong sales background to drive job placements and forge valuable relationships with employers. As a key player in our team, you will leverage your skills to create a robust pipeline of job opportunities and ensure successful placements for our clients.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop a network of contacts to generate job openings and secure employment opportunities for our customers. Identify and pursue new business opportunities by building and maintaining strong relationships with private and public sector employers.
Actively engage with employers to understand their hiring needs and pitch our job placement services effectively. Use sales techniques to negotiate and close job placement agreements.
Partner closely with Case Managers to match clients with suitable employment opportunities. Work across internal departments to focus on high-demand industries and expand the range of available job openings.
Cultivate and manage ongoing relationships with a diverse range of organizations including nonprofits, academic institutions, and businesses to create new job opportunities. Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry trends and employer needs.
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement innovative marketing campaigns and outreach strategies to attract both employers and job seekers. Host workshops and seminars to enhance job seeker engagement and readiness.
Track and report on placement metrics, industry developments, and job market trends. Provide regular updates to the team on achievements and progress.REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of three years in sales, talent acquisition, or a similar role with a demonstrated track record of building business relationships and securing job placements.
Strong networking abilities to build and sustain relationships with a diverse range of organizations and individuals.
A self-starter with a passion for helping others and a results-oriented approach. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet placement targets.
Proven ability to establish and maintain key industry contacts, develop compelling proposals and presentations, and lead effective outreach initiatives. Strong research skills to identify and capitalize on job market opportunities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to engage and persuade employers and stakeholders.
Experience in developing and implementing innovative strategies to attract employers and job seekers. Ability to think outside the box and drive creative solutions.QUALITIES AND SKILLS

PAY RATE
$62-$65k
HOURS OF OPERATION
Mon. – Fri. 8:30am – 5pm
