Position Summary
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Indiana University South Bend has a full-time lecturer position starting August 1, 2025. Applicants should have at least a master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a closely related field, and preference will be given to those with experience/expertise in teaching the courses where the Department has the most need. The teaching load will include 12 credit hours (typically four courses) each fall and spring semesters. Faculty may also be required to teach evening, weekend, off-site, and/or online courses. Summer teaching is voluntary and compensated separately. Lecturers are also expected to participate in service activities to the Department, school, campus, or community, such as course coordination, regularly attending and participating in faculty meetings and serving on relevant committees. Successful candidates are expected to be able to teach all 100 level courses offered by the Department and be willing to teach in-person and online classes. Salaries and benefits are competitive.
