Position Summary
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Indiana University South Bend invites applications for a full-time lecturer position starting August 1, 2025. The teaching load is equivalent to 12 credit hours of undergraduate coursework each semester (fall and spring). The successful candidate will be expected to teach freshman and sophomore level lectures and laboratories with the opportunity to teach advanced classes in the candidate’s area of expertise. Some courses taught may be offered evening, weekend, off-site, and/or online. Summer teaching is voluntary and compensated separately. Lecturers are expected to participate in service activities to the department, school, campus, or community, such as regularly attending and participating in faculty meetings and serving on relevant committees. This position does not carry any expectations for a research program or publications.
