Our client is looking for someone to join their manufacturing engineering team and play a key role in transforming our U.S. Digital Design operations; hands-on, solutions-driven Manufacturing Engineer to lead improvements in electronics assembly, machining processes, and capital equipment implementation. This role is ideal for someone passionate about lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and sustain lean production systems across electronics assembly, electrical testing, and machining operations.
• Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Manage the deployment of technical equipment, including custom functional test systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Apply built-in-quality tools such as SPC, Cpk, and measurement system analysis to ensure product quality.
• Support production escalation processes by responding to Andon signals and driving rapid problem resolution.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Technologies You’ll Work With
• Light electrical assembly and custom functional test equipment.
• Automated equipment: operation, programming, maintenance, and repair.
• Machining processes, including milling and precision operations.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or as a technician, preferably in PC board assembly, electrical systems, or machining.
• Associate’s or technical degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related science field.
• Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
Preferred Qualifications
• Greenbelt or DFSS certification.
• Experience with Minitab and SAP.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Toyota Production System (TPS) tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
