Job Description

The position oversees our membership program while assisting the administrative department with donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The position also oversees annual fundraising activities such as appeal letters, email solicitations, monthly giving programs, and events. This position will be a key member of our small Administrative Team. This is not a supervisory role.

Major Responsibilities

· Oversees and helps expand our membership program by engaging with current members, overseeing renewal of annual memberships, and promoting membership to new audiences.

· Oversees annual fundraising activities such as appeal letters, email solicitations, monthly giving programs, and fundraising components of our annual events (i.e. auctions).

· Handles membership and donor deposits, membership/donation receipts and thank-yous, and data-entry into our CRM.

· Works with Administrative staff to review monthly revenues and reconcile bookkeeping system and donor database reports.

· Assists in the planning and implementation of the annual Bird Festival, annual fundraiser at the Montana Audubon Center in Billings, and other events as needed.

· In coordination with Admin staff, maintains a system of donor information, donations, and interactions, including both electronic and confidential hard copy filing systems.

· General daily office duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

· 2+ years of professional experience in marketing, communication, membership, fundraising or related field.

· Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database (we use DonorPerfect).

· A commitment to conservation and the mission of Montana Audubon.

· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stay within budget

· Possesses an even temperament, sense of humor, ability to take direction, and exercises good judgment and flexibility.

· Willingness and desire to be a team player within a collaborative work culture.

· Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, overnights and willingness to travel statewide as needed.Company Description
