Ventura Low Voltage & Security has a Technician position open

Objectives

Works on assignments that are varied and complex in nature with supervision in the Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles Counties.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

Install & Service Security Alarm Systems, IP surveillance systems, access control security systems, network wiring.

Run conduit and electrical wiring which can include drilling, trenching and aerial runs.

Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that security systems are complete and satisfy customer and contractual requirements.

Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper function and to ensure system meets local, county, state, or federal codes.

Proper documentation of installation issues/actions/resolutions both internally and externally (acceptance forms, service tickets, etc.)

Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations.

Technician *

Previous experience in security installation, maintenance, or other related fields is preferred.

Familiarity with hand and power tools

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Strong attention to detail

3 years’ minimum experience for technician I

Background check (FBI & DOJ) and drug testing required

Valid California driver's license

Must be able to qualify for an ACE card from the State of California

Must be able to pass a drug screening test

Physically able to climb, crawl, lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, and work in small spaces

Ability to work in a team environment

Skills and Qualifications

Applies advanced knowledge of sophisticated security systems

Maintains vendor/contractor relationships and ensures the quality of service provided

Manages technical system installation projects

Maintains knowledge of technological advancements

Minimum 4-5 years related experience with security & low voltage systems

Experience with access controls

Field Installation or Service of Commercial Access Control, Burglar Alarm, IP Camera Systems, network wiring

Valid California driver's license

Valid ACE card from the State of California

Must be able to pass a drug screening test

Physically able to climb, crawl, lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds, and work in small spaces

Ability to work in a team environment

Experience in new construction/Pre-Wire, low voltage installations

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
