Job Description

Kelaca is seeking a Structural Engineer II on behalf of our client partner based in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a hands-on role for a technically skilled engineer ready to take ownership of design, analysis, and documentation, while working in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment.

What You'll Do:

Perform structural design and analysis using governing codes and standards

Prepare technical calculations, reports, and drawing edits

Collaborate across disciplines (architectural, mechanical, electrical)

Conduct site evaluations and review existing structures for code compliance

Attend client meetings and contribute to high-impact building projects

Manage tasks to meet deadlines and stay within project budgets

What You Bring:

BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred and may count as 1 year of experience)

2+ years of structural engineering experience (or 1 year with MS)

EIT certification required; PE preferred

Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, PDF editing tools, and engineering software

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specs, and construction documents

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience preparing/editing structural specs

Strong research and design option evaluation

Familiarity with multiple building materials and related design standards
