Job Description
Avista is looking for an individual to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of regulatory requirements within the Energy Efficiency department. Establish and maintain relationships with energy management software vendors utilized at Avista. Coordinate meetings and presentations with the Energy Efficiency Advisory Group. Recommend and implement improvements to processes and procedures as needed. Accountable for timely delivery of required regulatory deliverables as assigned.
Responsibilities
Manage vendor relationships for energy management tools including but not limited to Bidgely, iEnergy, and InformCRM, maintaining knowledge of system features, roadmap and issues. Providing recommendations or revisions based on department needs.
Manage and coordinate Energy Efficiency Advisory Group (EEAG), ensuring to recruit new memberships. Additionally, facilitate advisory group meetings, presentations and correspondence.
Understand and facilitate regulatory deliverables for the Energy Efficiency department, providing a direct liaison between EE management and Regulatory department. Participate in meetings with UTC staff.
Coordinate delivery of regulatory deliverables to include but not limited to Annual Conservation Report, Annual Conservation Plan, Biennial Conservation Report, and Biennial Conservation Plan.
Demonstrate creativity, new approaches to standard processes, "out-of-the-box" thinking, challenging the status quo.
Expected to deliver a high level of Customer Focus to ensure a positive customer experience outcome. Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship between Regulatory, Customer Solutions, Corporate Communications and other departments.
Requirements for Program Manager I (Starting Range $57,559 - $73,963)
BA/BS or equivalent experience in marketing, communication, business or related field
1+ years of related or relevant experience including customer interaction
Basic understanding of natural gas and electric construction.
Demonstrated dispute/disagreement resolution skills
Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, general business/office processes and equipment, intermediate level computer skills, MS Office Suite intermediate skill level
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong Customer service and interpersonal skills - work as liaison between both internal and external customers
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Basic Math Skills
Attention to detail including proofreading
Requirements for Program Manager II (Starting Range $65,410 - $84,379)
3+ years of related or relevant experience with Energy Efficiency, customer programs or applications including customer interaction.
BA/BS or equivalent experience in marketing, communication, business or related field.
Intermediate understanding of natural gas and electric construction
Ability to cultivate business relationships
Knowledge of residential and commercial lighting, heating, cooling, ventilation, and Energy Efficiency applications
Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and Public Utility Commission funding
General business/office processes and equipment
Intermediate Level computer skills; including MS Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong Customer Service and interpersonal skills - works as liaison between both internal and external customers'
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with attention to detail, including proofreading
Requirements for Program Manager III (Starting Range $84,939 - $110,421)
BA/BS or equivalent experience in marketing, communication, business or related field.
Must have a valid driver’s license and 5+ years or related or relevant experience with Energy Efficiency, energy assistance or customer programs or applications including customer interaction. Intermediate understanding of natural gas and electric construction preferred. Knowledge and understanding of low-income rate assistance program (LIRAP), federal low-income heating and energy program (LIHEAP) and other funding and outreach applications.
Demonstrated dispute/disagreement resolution skills. Strong collaboration and facilitation skills. Demonstrated project/program management. Strong ability to cultivate business relationships and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
Knowledge of customer data base systems and energy efficiency tools. Strong understanding of guidelines and Public Utility Commission funding. General knowledge of business/office processes and equipment. Intermediate level computer skills (i.e. MS Office Suite).
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong Customer service and interpersonal skills - work as liaison between both internal and external customers.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Basic Math Skills required.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with attention to detail including proofreading.

Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane, Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with an additional day determined by the employee and manager.
