We are excited to be adding a Quality Techician to the MAC Trailer Team. Our Quality Techician utilizes and implements acquired inspection training, knowledge, experience, and practices to complete MAC inspection process of in process and completed product assuring build of product is representative of MAC’s quality and satisfies customer specifications.
Please note that shift hours are Mon - Thurs 7am - 5:30pm with additional overtime.
Wage Range: $21.50 - $28.25

What you will do:
Review specification documentation and information related to assignments to assure product is manufactured to customer specifications and MAC quality standards
Perform a wide variety of specific test or verification processes including but not limited to, axle alignment, air test, lighting test, plumbing test, ABS, tires, wheels, gates, etc.
Organize documentation to utilize in inspection process
Review documentation related to product being inspected. Assure Product is as designated in specification documentation
Document any and all pass/fail information during the inspection process as required and instructed
Communicate with Inspection department’s management regarding specific needs or any deficiencies in build of product regarding product being inspected
Communicate to management any issues of concern and any other pertinent information which affect the productive completion of quality product, schedule of product and safety
Record information neatly and accurately
Use a camera to record inspection of products and enter photographs into a computer
Utilize a computer for inspection related data entry, retrieval, and communication
Keep work area clean and organized during and at the end of the shift
Organize and restock needed parts and materials. Assist other employees, as needed and instructed
Perform and abide by safety policies and procedures while performing tasks and other related assignments

Education and/or Experience
Experience in tractor trailer building or knowledge is preferred
Inspection process experience preferred
Mechanical experience is preferred

Position Tiers:
Tier 1: Employees in this tier are new to the position. Employee is under direct supervision as they learn the skills and duties of the position.
Tier 2: Employees in this position have developed the skills required to perform the job. There is supervisor involvement checking completed work for quality.
Tier 3: Employees in this position have mastered the skills required to perform the job. The individual does not need direct supervision and is responsible for training new employees in the department.
