Position: High School Counselor - August 27, 2025 through December 23, 2025
Position Description: Ridgewood Public Schools seeks a leave replacement school counselor for Ridgewood High School to support high school students and their families. This person will be responsible for ensuring that students receive the academic, career, and social-emotional support necessary for success in school, college, and career pathways.
Qualifications:
Valid NJ School Counseling Certification
Master’s degree in counseling
Demonstrated ability to provide school counseling services for high school students
Experience with College Admissions Counseling and ability to guide students and families through the college admissions process, including college list development, standardized testing strategies, personal statements, financial aid applications, and admissions trends.
Ability to collaborate with administrators, teachers, and support staff to integrate counseling services to students and promote student well-being and student success.
Knowledge of Scoir and Student Information Systems helpful
