Department Overview
The Sr. Manager, US Market Technology Communications will be responsible for leading all aspects of US technology deployment communications as well as our internal US Market Tech communications strategy. This role requires a resilient and adaptable leader who will partner with key vendors and internal McDonald’s teams to provide our 13,600 U.S. Restaurants a seamless deployment and activation experience.
This role involves improving processes, crafting effective communications, encouraging support from collaborators, and ensuring organizational alignment. They will serve as an influencer and persuader, bridging the gap between technical teams, business leaders, and owner/operators to drive successful outcomes. This individual will also be an experienced people leader, passionate about growing the next generation of great communicators.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Vision Alignment
+ Provide strategic direction for communication efforts, ensuring alignment with McDonald’s vision and long-term goals.
+ Lead with resilience and emotional intelligence, maintaining focus and encouraging confidence in fast paced environments.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insights and strategies to achieve ground-breaking objectives.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
+ Develop and implement detailed communication strategies to promote alignment and support among internal and external collaborators, such as owner/operators.
+ Develop compelling narratives, messaging, and storytelling that reinforce the "why" behind transformation initiatives.
+ Lead organizational rhythms, including leadership meetings, engagement calendars, and strategic updates, ensuring transparency and consistency.
+ Develop connections with cross-functional teams to collaborate with collaborators and address outstanding communication needs.
+ Partner with initiative teams and cross-functional business partners to lead the development and execution of an end-to-end communication plan.
Change Management Expertise
+ Apply change management standard methodologies to ensure a smooth adoption of transformation initiatives.
+ Identify and address barriers to change, fostering partner confidence and reducing resistance.
+ Act as a change agent, promoting understanding and alignment across all levels of the organization.
Team Leadership
+ Lead a highly efficient team of communications professionals at different career stages.
+ Build and lead the intake process for communication support, ensuring we are following a prioritization methodology and aligning work to the correct team and team members.
+ Develop and amplify the voice of US Market Technology through support of leadership communications across multiple channels.
Qualifications
+ 8+ years’ validated experience working in business, communications, change management or other related areas.
+ Outstanding written and verbal skills, including a demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical team members, technical language, and offer translation into concepts that are easily understood by general business or executive audiences.
+ Consistent track record of driving and implementing successful, insight-based, creative communications programs that delivered against brand business objectives, on time and within budget
+ Experience with technology or major program deployment or change preferred.
+ Proven combination of education and years of professional experience showing ability to work with senior leader teams, provide strategic recommendations, and implement action.
+ Ability to present in front of and lead discussions among large audiences.
+ Capable of being structured and methodical, while also flexible and adaptable to changing organization needs, technology innovation, and interpersonal transformation.
+ Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365 / O365, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote). Able to show experience with or potential to learn Smartsheet and other digital tools.

Salary Range
Salary Ranges-$149,260.00 - $190,310.00
