Unified Communications Engineer

This hybrid remote position requires on-site work 3 days a week in Washington, DC.

Must be local to DC, MD, VA.

Due to Federal Government Security Clearance Requirements: U.S. Citizenship with eligibility to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

PRISM is seeking an innovative Unified Communications Engineer to architect and deploy the future of our communication systems! If you possess years of deep technical expertise in VoIP and UC, proven leadership, and a drive for results, you'll play a key role in creating seamless communication solutions that power our growth.

Your Contribution:

Design and implement future-proof, scalable VoIP solutions for superior voice and video experiences.

Be the leading expert for our Cisco Unified Communications ecosystem (CUCM, Unity Connection, Contact Center, etc.).

Proactively troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure the high availability of our communication systems.

Work collaboratively with various teams to integrate VoIP effectively with data networks.

Drive efficiency through the development of automation scripts.

Maintain a strong focus on system health and network performance monitoring.

Be responsible for clear and comprehensive Unified Communication architecture documentation.

Provide expert technical support, lead critical projects, and optimize processes for maximum system effectiveness.

Required:

Deep UC Foundation: 8+ years of hands-on experience across Unified Communications, VoIP, and telecommunication systems.

Cisco UC Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Cisco Unified Communication technologies (CUCM, Unity Connection, UCCX, UCS, Comstice).

Networking Acumen: A strong and thorough understanding of core networking protocols (SIP, WAN, TCP/IP, MPLS).

Tooling Prowess: Demonstrated proficiency in essential tools like PowerShell, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.

Leadership & Delivery: Proven abilities in leadership, research, and project management, with a successful history of delivering complex solutions.

Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Ideally, You'll Also Possess:

Relevant Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CUCM) or other Unified Communications certifications.

CompTIA Security+ certification.

Experience with platforms like Calabrio, Stonefax, Microsoft InGenius, and Nuance.

Microsoft Azure certifications.
