Storage Area Network Administrator (SAN)

This position is 100% onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. (Must be local to DC, MD, VA).

Due to Federal Government Security Clearance Requirements: U.S. Citizenship, and must have an Active DOD Secret Clearance.

PRISM is seeking a skilled SAN Administrator to manage and maintain our critical storage infrastructure. You will ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of our Storage Area Networks (SAN) while supporting the organization's data needs. This on-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD, requires a detail-oriented, proactive individual with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain the storage infrastructure, including Storage Area Networks (SAN).

Monitor storage performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies for throughput and reliability.

Provision storage resources and allocate space for applications and data.

Troubleshoot and resolve storage issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Implement and maintain storage security measures (access controls, encryption, data protection).

Conduct storage capacity planning and forecasting.

Create and maintain documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.

Ensure proper control and accounting of storage media inventory and release processes.

Maintain the currency and relevance of off-site restorable media, software, documentation, and supplies.

Maintain procedures for delivering backup materials to recovery sites.

Required:

Fully Adjudicated Active DOD Secret clearance.

7 or more years of experience in a Storage Administration role or related field.

5 or more years of experience with IBM technologies.

Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs.
