Senior Network Operations Specialist with Security Clearance

Seaside, CA Job description SteelGate is looking for a talented Senior NetOps Specialist to join our team.

The right person will have a strong background in operating and maintain networks and data centers.

The Senior NetOps Specialist will plan, implement, and operate network services / systems, to include hardware and virtual environments.

The right person will be focused on overseeing the infrastructure and network operations within a data center, ensuring effective incident resolution and service continuity.

The position requires a proactive approach to managing alerts, coordinating repairs, and providing data center support, all while adhering to strict security clearance and certification requirements.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To: • Oversee the infrastructure and network operation by responding appropriately to alerts and events.

• Oversee incident resolution, ensuring appropriate response to escalations.

• Coordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service delivery.

• Review root cause analysis documentation to address performance management and incident correlation issues.

• Able to install and maintain Server rack systems and cabling.

• Oversee daily shift activities and document in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure continuity for any outstanding issues.

• Provide incident notification to Government representatives.

Required Qualifications: • 8+ years experience.

Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

• Minimum of a DoD Secret clearance is required.

• 5+ years of experience using Commvault Storage • Certifications: IAT II (Security+ preferred) AND CCNA required to start Job Type: Full-time Pay: $130,000 - $140,000 based on experience Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday License/Certification: • Sec+, CCNA Security clearance: • Secret (Required)
