Job Summary

The Supervisor Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing banquet functions at the Club, ensuring exceptional food and beverage service and presentation for members and guests. This role involves supervising banquet service personnel to meet excellent service standards and member satisfaction.

Day-to-Day

Execute private and club events while maintaining staffing and service levels.

Hold pre-function meetings with servers, assigning stations and coordinating course timing with kitchen staff.

Develop, train, and performance-manage banquet service personnel, ensuring adherence to service standards.

Inspect service areas and equipment to maintain departmental quality standards.

Communicate with the Private Event Director to address staffing and execution for private functions.

Verify BEOs and daily communication logs for event details and requirements.

Ensure timely food service during events and follow up with hosts post-event for feedback.

Manage room setup and breakdown per event specifications.

Promote a welcoming environment by practicing warm welcomes, magic moments, and fond farewells.

Address member/guest complaints promptly, practicing service recovery.

Complete additional assigned duties.

About You

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and motivational abilities.

3-5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry with 1-3 years in a supervisory role.

High School Diploma or equivalent, along with necessary food safety certifications (Food Handlers Certificate, FSP certified, ASAP certified).
