Job Description:
This position serves in the Bureau of Surveillance and Data Systems (BSDS) in the Division of Epidemiology. Duties include:
• Provide technical assistance to the Director, Statistical Unit, and staff.
• Answer the telephone, field questions from system users and/or refer callers to subject matter experts.
• Enter data into the Communicable Disease Electronic Surveillance System, including but not limited to all influenza cases and other vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs).
• Transfer laboratory information from the Electronic Communicable Laboratory Reporting System (ECLRS) to CDESS.
• Perform tasks associated with mailings or faxes to system users including registration forms or other informational materials.
• Support providers and school users looking to set up new accounts for use of the online New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS).
• Answer the telephone and perform searches in NYSIIS to locate individual’s immunization records. Process and send back records in a confidential manner.

• Hybrid work 50% onsite 50% off site

• Preferred level of education is an Associates
• Minimum years of experience a candidates should have is 2 years
