Are you a seasoned Construction Project Manager with HVDC expertise and a passion for overseeing full project lifecycles? Our client, a Houston-based leader in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, is seeking a dedicated professional to manage construction projects from pre-construction to completion. This is a career-defining opportunity with a company that values innovation, safety, and employee ownership.

About Our Client

Our client is a dynamic, employee-owned firm delivering EPC, construction management, and program management solutions across industries like energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing. Based in Houston, they're committed to excellence, offering a robust benefits package and a unique Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) that empowers you to build long-term wealth while shaping impactful projects.

The Role

Supporting the EPC Project Manager or Program Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met. From managing subcontractors and suppliers to driving project P&L, you'll play a critical role in delivering complex projects while fostering client relationships and mentoring field teams. This is a full-time, office-based role with occasional field visits.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage safety, quality, schedule, and cost control for construction projects, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Oversee project planning, scheduling, estimating, and execution from start to finish.

Develop and maintain client relationships, negotiating contracts and change orders.

Direct subcontractor and supplier coordination, including RFPs, bids, and contract administration.

Manage project P&L, including estimating, invoicing, and cash flow forecasting.

Lead risk reviews, permitting, and documentation turnover processes.

Mentor field staff, oversee craft training, and ensure efficient resource utilisation.

Conduct site audits and support commissioning/startup activities as needed. What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

7 years of project management experience in construction, with full lifecycle expertise.

Proven HVDC project experience and self-performing works (no subcontract-only management).

Strong P&L knowledge (estimating, invoicing, forecasting).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with scheduling and cost control software preferred.

Willingness to work in-office in Houston with occasional field visits to client sites.

Skills & Attributes:

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Valid driver's licence and ability to meet company driving requirements. Why Join Our Client?

Competitive Salary: $140k-$160k base (determined by direct experience), plus performance bonus.

Employee Ownership: Build wealth through the ESOP-many employees retire early with substantial stock value.

Robust Benefits: Medical, 401(k), 30 WFH days annually, and additional company perks.

Career Stability: A long-term role, not a project-only position, with growth opportunities.

Impactful Work: Lead diverse, high-profile projects in a supportive, innovative environment. Note: Salary offers are based on a framework evaluating direct experience-your final package will reflect your proven expertise.

Ready to Build Your Future?

If you're a hands-on leader with HVDC experience, full lifecycle project management skills, and a drive to oversee self-performing construction works, this is your chance to join an employee-owned powerhouse. Take the reins of complex projects and secure your financial future with our client's ESOP.
