Position Title: Full-time Child Care Worker

Annual Salary: A $ 74,000 + Superannuation

Introduction:

We are seeking an experienced Child Care Worker, to be based in our office in Balwyn, Victoria. You will be a highly motivated individual able to contribute and add value to our Learning Centre.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Care & Safety

• Ensuring a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

• Monitoring and maintaining children's hygiene, including personal care, handwashing, and toilet training.

• Encouraging healthy eating habits by assisting with meal preparation and feeding routines.

• Supervising children's daily routines, ensuring structure, consistency, and a nurturing environment.

Social & Emotional Development

• Providing emotional support and comfort, fostering a sense of security and belonging.

• Managing children's behavior and guiding their social and emotional development through positive reinforcement.

• Supporting children with special needs, adapting activities to ensure inclusivity and individual support.

Learning & Recreation

• Implementing early childhood education programs, fostering curiosity and a love for learning.

• Preparing and conducting engaging activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development.

• Assisting in setting up materials and equipment for educational and recreational activities.

• Entertaining children through storytelling, music, arts, and interactive games.

• Supervising children during recreational activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Collaboration & Communication

• Observing and recording children's progress, identifying developmental milestones and areas for improvement.

• Communicating with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's behavior, progress, and needs.

• Collaborating with colleagues and professionals, such as teachers, therapists, and healthcare providers.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum Diploma level qualification in Early Childhood Education.

• A minimum of 2 year of relevant experience in the industry is mandatory.

• In depth experience in Leadership & Management would be added advantage.
