Responsible for resolving issues employees may experience with computer software and hardware. Answers employee’s questions regarding use of specific software. Furthermore, the IT Desktop Support Technician interacts with the employee to uncover what procedures may have been followed and determines source of error.
Compensation Range:
$28.12-$32.66
All new hires will begin at the base wage of this position.
Hmong and Spanish speakers who successfully pass a language exam will receive an additional .75 hourly differential to their wage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives requests for technology-related help and prioritizes and provides immediate support for straightforward problems.
Troubleshoots hardware and software issues and performs software and hardware upgrades.
Performs hardware installation and installs PC’s, Monitors, printers, and PDAs.
Other duties and responsibilities as designated by supervisor.

Strong computer skills with specific aptitude in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Adheres to ODCHC’s policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of or experience with wide area network systems required.
Knowledge of or experience with network administration for multi-site networks required.
Knowledge of and experience with a wide variety of software applications, and ability to master new applications.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT: The IT Desktop Support Technician reports directly to the IT Manager and is an integral member of the Information Technology Department.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is largely an office-based position. The physical requirements described are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
