YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with all operational functions at the branch including, but not limited to, safety, shipping and receiving, storing, and packaging material. The position requires the ability to multi-task, computer savviness, ability to handle time sensitive matters with ease, excellent problem-solving, and superior supervisory and communication skills.

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:

GED/HS Diploma Required. AAA/AAS degree in related field a plus.

2 + years experience with warehousing, inventory, transportation, driving, or rail operations

Must be comfortable with providing guidance and direction to employees.

Capable of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and other departments within the organization.

Ability to prioritize work to meet time-sensitive deadlines. Possess the ability to effectively prioritize situations and make timely decisions based on the information received.

Comprehension of employee relationship building and exhibit excellent communication skills.

Understanding of and the ability to work within organizational reporting structures.

Technical Skills

This position requires knowledge and experience of bulk liquid vessels such as tank trucks and rail cars.

Working knowledge or experience with truck or rail transportation.

This position requires frequent use of computers. Must be computer savvy and have the ability to learn new software and operate office equipment.

Working knowledge or OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulation and reporting.

Working knowledge of AS400 or similar ERP system.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk and stand for extended periods of time.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Ability to see for purposes of reading printed matter, operating a forklift, equipment, and computers.

Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (i.e. respirators, Tyvek suits, protective boots, eye protection, hearing protection, etc.).

Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.

Ability to lift/carry up to 100 lbs.

Ability to work in outside elements for extended periods of time. This position will be 70% in a warehouse environment and 30% in office.
