Starting at $20 - $26 per hour based on experience In-office position located in your choice of either York, Hanover, or Camp HillRequirements:High School Education or previous experience in dispatching preferredProficient in computer technology including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordExemplifies and communicates the values of initiative, responsibility, caring relationships, integrity, and innovationProven skills in organizing resources and maintaining records Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skillsAble and willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessaryResponsibility + Expectations Operational ExcellenceFollow established routing processes to ensure that timely deliveries are being made Manage Required Customer Interactions in a Timely mannerMaintain K-Factors, Baseloads, Monitors and Schedules in order to optimize deliveryDocument and communicate all service-related issuesDevelop caring relationships with our customersActively participate in continuous improvement activitiesCommunicate with drivers, customers and other departments to resolve issues in a courteous and professional mannerComplete any projects and other duties as assigned by Manager of LogisticsMaintain all Logistics inboxes/databases and respond in a timely manner Promote a safe workplace and take immediate action on unsafe conditions Continual ImprovementWork with Logistics Manager to set KPI's with a focus on year over year improvementWork with Logistics Manager to Create "SMART" Goals that can be communicated throughout their departments and understood by all Collaborate with team members to create Logistics best practices Internal Meetings and Committee MembershipsWeekly EOS Meetings with Logistics team members Weekly one on one meeting with Logistics Manager to focus on personal & professional development Special event attendance Authority:Schedule and Dispatch any delivery according to customer needs Set sequence of loading and delivery tickets to maximize efficiency May not bind, approve, or execute contracts or agreements that commit Shipley to pay another party for purchases or services on behalf of the business Relationships:Reports to the Manager of Logistics Internal contacts: managers and team members at all locationsExternal contacts: customers, suppliers, common carriers, and professional and community organizations
