Seeking an experienced Maintenance Technical Trainer to support advanced electronic systems design/development and long-term production/sustainment program. The perfect candidate will be a self-starter with experience on the Compass Call/Big Safari programs and will demonstrate a strong foundation and understanding of USAF documentation requirements and structure necessary to author and present original technical training materials on system/subsystem maintenance and troubleshooting for a variety of student/customer audiences.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
Develop training curriculum and course content with moderate time spent conducting classroom instruction.
Develop formal course curricula in consultation with design/ development personnel and through personal review of engineering drawings, established technical manuals and instructions.
Apply information and data with knowledge, poise, and leadership when developing and presenting classroom instruction and practical exercises applicable to the end-user needs.Because of the need for intermittent in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform a portion of work onsite, this position will be considered hybrid. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility as well as remotely, when applicable.

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Current SECRET-level clearance. Ability to obtain higher levels of clearance.
Familiarity with Compass Call, Crossdeck, and Big Safari maintenance requirements and support equipment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently to gather technical data from Subject Matter Experts and convert that data into comprehensive training materials, with strong focus on consistent and logical flow.
Ability to work on a single task and/or project in support of curriculum development for an extended period of time.
Knowledge of the Acquisition Process and how training development feeds into major program milestones.
Experience as a maintenance instructor at USAF formal schools.
Ability to design and build DoD training and education modules.
Ability to schedule and deliver consistent effective classroom and task-based training that is verified and measured through written and hands-on testing.
Experience with technical test equipment. (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope etc.). Must be comfortable operating equipment to develop practical exercises applicable to the student's needs and use.
Advanced level knowledge and competency in customer training process and tools, specifically Microsoft and Adobe toolset.
Ability to monitor and record student performance to improve follow-on courses.
Clear understanding of sources required for data mining (Design drawings, schematics, product specifications etc.).
Must be a strong team player, with the ability to share the gained knowledge with other technical trainers and writers.
Demonstrated experience communicating directly with customer and stakeholder counterparts and participating in/presenting at informal meetings and formal milestone reviews.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred Skills and Education
Possess an active TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance
Ability to revise training presentation and methods during instruction to maximize student understanding.
Able to develop and document training requirements for support equipment.
User expertise in the use of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for engineering records.
Familiarity with formal Technical Manual development requirements.
Preparation of training Basis of Estimate documentation and staffing estimations supporting technical proposal activities
Aptitude for managing, mentoring, and communicating with junior personnel
Experience with managing trainer teams
10 years experience using DoD training development tools to develop and execute electronic maintenance training programs
Experience with modification and development projects. Experience with managing development teams.
Experience in sourcing and monitoring contract and subcontract labor during task execution.
Knowledge of cost account management and Earned Value Management
Demonstrated confidence in presentations to customer or management audiences
