The Advanced Clinical Associate (ACA)- Medical Scribe is responsible for capturing accurate and detailed documentation for medical visits and procedures as directed by providers. This role will also assist with clinical workflow and operations as needed. The ACA- completes all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner while living our vision and mission.
Hourly rate: $18.50.00- $27.25
Bonus eligible up to $600/month
Job Requirements
Education
High School Diploma required
Work Experience
Medical Scribe experience preferred
Medical Assistant experience preferred
Experience in an Urgent Care environment preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
Certification and/or licensure to meet Order Entry requirements through one of the following:
Medical Assistant certification (an associated accredited certification including, but not limited to, CCMA, CMA, NCMAS or, RMA).
CPOE Certification for order entry
Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS) certification
Healthcare Professional Licensure including but not limited to EMT, ARRT, RN, LPN, etc
WA State - MA State Registered within 60 days of hire required to perform limited scope of MA duties
Essential Functions
Accompany Providers with patients and capture accurate and detailed documentation for medical visits and procedures.
Responsible for transcribing history, physical exams and provider assessment of patients; list all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as directed by the provider.
Responsible for transcribing patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
Update medical records to include patient examination, treatment information plans, and test results.
Initiate referral process with patients and specialists as instructed by providers.
Responsible for other clinical tasks as directed under the providers discretion and as allowed by state regulation.
All other duties as assigned.
