Position: Senior Content Creator/Video Producer

Position Summary:
The Senior Content Creator / Video Producer provides video production services to the various departments across campus. Under supervision, the Senior Content Creator / Video Producer will direct, produce, and complete essential duties for the Digital Media Services team including collaborating with departments across the university to meet clients’ needs for content creation, video production, and live event services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct, produce, and edit videos that support Campbell University’s business operations. This includes but is not limited to: tutorials, academic support, employee support, and communications from the university president, deans, etc.
Serve as director/producer for productions during campus events including but not limited to athletic, music, and chapel events
Assist with live streaming of events and webinars
Set up, use, manage, and maintain inventory of video production equipment
Ensure that all technical equipment is operational and support the use of the equipment. Systems include but are not limited to HDSDI routers, switchers, audio consoles, intercom system, and cameras
Perform basic troubleshooting for media related issues including broadcast systems, Daktronics systems, work with vendors, and open tickets for customer service
Support classroom and venue technology as needed
Assist in the recruitment of student workers and their work schedules
Collaborate with supervisor to schedule and train student workers on production etiquette and protocol
Assist with managing the IT Services and Digital Media Services social media channels
Collaborate with University Communications and other constituencies on key projects to help promote university initiatives
Document tasks, solutions, and log hours
Communicate effectively with constituencies and teammates in oral and written formats
Cooperate and work effectively with university and departmental employees, including student workers
Must be available to work a flexible schedule, which will include some night and weekend hours
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX, Information Security, HIPAA, FERPA, and other state and federal mandates

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media Communication or a related field required
Minimum of 4 years of experience in video production
Experience in producing live events and working in a broadcast setting
Experience in a higher education or non-profit sector is desired
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expertise in creating and producing instruction videos used on multiple media platforms
Expertise in directing and producing live video productions
Demonstrated knowledge of video and motion graphics software
Experience troubleshooting audio and video systems
Familiarity with broadcast ENG, DSLR, and mirrorless cameras
Knowledge of Daktronics videoboard systems
Ability to lead a team of student workers
Communicate effectively and professionally to all groups through both oral and written channels
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to transport camera equipment (cameras, tripods, lights, etc.) across venues and campus
Knowledge and understanding of sports
Comprehensive computer knowledge and skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet
Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the public
Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people
Exercise independent judgment in complex and new situations
Manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet strict deadlines
