The Opportunity:
We are recruiting for a part-time Advanced Practice Provider with our Women’s Health team at Saint Luke’s North.
Shift Details:
This role will include three 8-hour daytime shifts per week, Wednesday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm. No weekends and no holiday rotations.
The Work:
This outpatient only position will focus on obstetrics and gynecology.
This position is accountable for advanced nursing practice in the care of assigned patient populations
Responsible for collecting and analyzing client health data
Identifies appropriate expected outcomes
Develops and implements patient plan of care
Provides comprehensive clinical coordination of care and case management
Provides consultation to influence plan of care for clients using prescriptive authority procedures and treatment in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations
Evaluates clients progress in attaining expected outcomes
Conducts nursing research and provides education to patient family and nursing staff
Communicate effectively with other team members and patients
Establishes a patient relationship characterized by mutual respect, empathy, and collaboration
Gather objective and subjective data to develop differential diagnosis, assessment, and a plan of care
Place appropriate orders and consultations
Utilizes prescriptive authority in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations
Accurately documents progress notes, discharge summaries and H&P in timely manner, with appropriate billing
Communicates effectively using appropriate terminology, format, and technology in accordance health system policies
Takes initiative for seeking opportunities to advance knowledge and experiences
Displays positive leadership skills amongst the multi-disciplinary team.
Displays effective and clear communication amongst the multi-disciplinary team, including close collaboration with physician, consultants and nursing team.
The term Advanced Practice Provider encompasses Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Clinical Nurse Specialists.
The employee will have successfully completed a Master’s degree (or higher level of educational program) and have met the requirements for the respective State Board(s) (Missouri and Kansas).
The APP will hold and maintain a national certification and licensure as required by State Boards and Saint Luke’s Health System, as well as other certification as obligatory for this role.
Candidates with 2-3 years of advanced practice preferred
BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
