Job Overview

Performs sterile processing of surgical instruments and equipment, and maintains supplies for the Surgical Services Department. We have an opportunity for a Per Diem Sterile Processing Tech to join our team.

Title: Sterile Processing Technician Department: Central Sterile / Surgical ServicesLocation: Portland, ORHours: Per Diem

Responsibilities

Maintains clean environment in sterile processing department by wearing appropriate clothing, hair and face covering, and cover coats, and removing/changing aprons, masks, etc., as necessary.

Safely cleans, packages, assembles, sterilizes instruments and trays using aseptic technique.

Correctly operates, monitors, and documents all cleaning and sterilizing equipment in CS and OR area according to equipment manufacturer's instructions

Maintains appropriate CS and Surgery inventory by routinely counting, ordering, and restocking par level supplies.

Responds immediately to all requests from Surgery for different or additional items.

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or GED required

Experience

2 years experience in sterile processing, required

Certifications and Licensures

Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT), preferred
