Display Maker - 1st Shift in New Hope, MN

About the Opportunity: • Job Title: Display Maker • Pay Rate Range: $23-26/Hour • Location: New Hope, MN • Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri 6:30AM-3PM with required O/T. • Position Type: Temp to Hire Display Maker Requirements and Qualifications:

2 years technical/business degree or equivalent experience.

3-5 years' experience in a production/manufacturing environment or similar.

Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workday.

Flexibility to travel between multiple locations

Ability to lift 50lbs. Display Maker Duties and Responsibilities:

Follows all safety and workplace policies

Studies blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plans sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed

Marks outline or dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock

Matches materials for color, grain, or texture

Set up and operate woodworking machines such as power saws, jointer, mortiser, tenoner, molder, and shaper, to cut and shape parts from wood stock

Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit

Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels

Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit

Drives nails or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints

Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing

Repairs high grade articles of furniture

Dips, brushes, or sprays assembled articles with protective or decorative materials such as stains, varnish, or paint

Installs hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls.
