Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join the Cytology department at Farmington, CT. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience (3+ years preferred) and demonstrate strong proficiency in screening and evaluating GYN, Non-GYN, and FNA specimens.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, screen, and evaluate GYN, non-GYN, and FNA cytology specimens.

Accurately interpret and issue final diagnoses on GYN specimens within normal limits.

Summarize cytological findings and prepare detailed reports.

Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and best practices.

Collaborate with pathologists and the healthcare team to support accurate diagnostic outcomes.

Requirements:

ASCP certification as a Cytotechnologist (required)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a cytology lab (3+ years preferred)

Proven experience preparing and evaluating GYN, non-GYN, and FNA specimens

Strong knowledge of cytology lab protocols and reporting

Local candidates within 75 miles may be submitted at local rates

No previous travel experience required

No on-call or weekend shifts
