Job Overview
The Transportation Operations Analyst will provide transportation and logistics support for the planning, KPI execution, carrier cost lane analysis, transportation-sourcing activities, and the overall efficiency and improvement opportunities across the GLC transportation and logistics network.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with other functions within the company to support the development transportation and logistics solutions.
Assist in identifying opportunities for transportation and logistics cost reduction through root cause analysis.
Support freight rate analysis to identify areas for cost reduction.
Provide analytical and implementation support for annual and bi-annual Transportation and Logistics RFPs
Review new lanes and procure carriers through an RFP process
Support the development and execution of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Carrier and Supply Chain Dashboard creation
Provide monthly and quarterly carrier performance reporting to support carrier scorecards.
Work with IT to develop reports and data gathering methods to measure transportation costs and on time performance.
Provide customer freight quote analysis and support
Develop and support carrier rates maintenance in TMS
Support carrier reviews
Support the scheduling of customer delivery appointments

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or a related field from an accredited institution
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years transportation operations experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Strong math aptitude and quantitative problem solving approach.
Written and oral communication skills.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite ability including Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future (i.e. CPT/OPT).
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, or a related field with 2 years’ experience
Business reporting/data gathering software experience.
Quantitative Excel modeling experience.
Full-cycle project management experience.
SAP experience.
Experience with Oracle TMS solutions.
Ability to frame opportunities in a clear, concise and logical manner.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, problem solve and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
• Work is performed in an office setting.
