Job Overview:
This role focuses on the automation and monitoring of the Windows-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in PowerShell, with a keen interest in scripting, metrics, and operational efficiency. A background in Citrix is valued (even at a junior level), and familiarity with monitoring and data visualization tools such as Grafana, Power BI, or InfluxDB is considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation & Scripting:
Develop and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts for infrastructure automation and operational tasks.
Improve existing automation frameworks to enhance deployment speed, configuration consistency, and system monitoring.
Work closely with other IT teams to identify repetitive tasks and automate processes end-to-end.
System Administration:
Provide L2/L3 support for Windows environments in a hybrid or on-prem infrastructure.
Assist with Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktop environments (user provisioning, policy updates, basic troubleshooting).
Maintain documentation and scripts in version-controlled repositories.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Integrate and maintain monitoring dashboards using Grafana, Power BI, or similar tools.
Analyze performance trends and generate reports based on system and user metrics.
Ensure the visibility of infrastructure KPIs for internal stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must-Have:
5+ years of experience as a Windows or Citrix Administrator.
Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation techniques.
A first experience working with Citrix VDI
Solid understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory basics, and group policy management.
Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Team player with strong communication skills.
Nice-to-Have:
Exposure to Citrix environments (Citrix Studio, Citrix Director, or Virtual Apps & Desktops).
Experience with monitoring or analytics tools: Grafana, Power BI, InfluxDB.
Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and Agile working methods.
Working Environment:
Hybrid work model: 3 days on-site per week in Montreal.
Candidate must be located in Montreal or willing to relocate
English fluency, French is a plus.
