Azure Cloud Architect

This hybrid remote position requires on-site work 3 days a week in Washington, DC. (Must be local to DC, MD, VA)

PRISM seeks a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure and solutions on Microsoft Azure. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud strategy, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with engineering, security, and business teams to deliver innovative, robust cloud-based solutions that drive our business forward.

Qualifications:

Extensive Azure Experience: Ten (10) years of proven experience in Azure design, support, and management within a large-scale organization.

Broad IT Expertise: Fifteen (15) years of overall IT experience encompassing system architecture, cloud technologies, and enterprise solutions.

Cloud Platform Proficiency: Hands-on expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform technologies.

Virtualization Acumen: Expert-level knowledge of virtual application delivery technologies and their implementation.

OS Versatility: Experience in building, deploying, and managing Linux, UNIX, and Windows-based environments.

Documentation & Support: Proven proficiency in supporting and documenting build and configuration changes across diverse environments.

Architectural Foundation: Strong understanding of industry-standard system architecture, system management concepts, and associated tools.

Enterprise Systems Expertise: Significant experience in the design, deployment, and operational support of large, complex enterprise systems.

Cost Management Savvy: Knowledge and practical experience with Azure cost control tools to optimize cloud spending, including Azure Cost Management + Billing.

Azure Certification: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification.

Desired:

Hybrid & Enterprise Knowledge: Experience with hybrid cloud environments and enterprise architecture frameworks.

Emerging Tech: Knowledge of serverless computing and data analytics services on Azure.

Security & Compliance Acumen: Familiarity with relevant security and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
