Job Description
As a Utility Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting machine operators and ensuring the smooth operation of the production process. You will be responsible for reading work orders, loading and unloading materials, handling resins, maintaining packaging supplies, and ensuring accurate packaging of finished products.
Responsibilities
Read work orders and follow oral instructions to determine materials to be mixed.
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets and shelves via forklift or by hand.
Load resins into blenders, grinders, dryers, and hoppers by hand or vacuum system.
Maintain and prepare packaging supplies.
Package finished products ensuring correct packaging materials, labels, and details per customer specifications.
Handle materials and inventory control using barcode scanner.
Assist operators with stringing lines, taking rolls off machines, roll data entry, roll changing, changing trim, mounting unwound rolls, cutovers, and cleaning systems.
Assist warehouse manager with monthly inventory.
Maintain confidentiality of information such as formulas, supplier names, materials, and process conditions.Essential Skills
Must be reliable.
Attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to take direction from multiple supervisors.
High school diploma preferred but not required.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior manufacturing experience is not required.
Warehouse, machine operation, packing, packaging, labeling, and material handling skills are beneficial.

Work Environment
Work in a clean room manufacturing and production environment. The dress code requires wearing a hair net and hard hat, provided by the company. Candidates with facial hair must wear a beard guard. The facility includes a full clean room, however, candidates will not be required to work in this area. Shifts include a rotating schedule with both day and night options.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, Massachusetts.\Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.50/hr.
