Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

As a General Production Worker in the Layout Department, you will play a crucial role in assembling wire harnesses used in various electrical and electronic equipment or systems. You will follow detailed instructions, diagrams, and wire lists to ensure the precise assembly of materials, contributing to the efficient production process.

Job Responsibilities

Route and tie wires to form wire harnesses using detailed instructions and diagrams.

Read work orders and wire lists to determine the materials needed and sequence of assembly.

Select wires of specified color, marking, or length, and loop wires between guide pegs on harness boards.

Wrap and tie wires together at designated points using a tie wrap gun or manually.

Attach wire ends to components, plugs, or terminal strips using soldering irons or crimping devices.

Insert harnesses into plastic tubing or flex guards to protect them from dust and moisture.

Test wiring continuity using a tester or program.

Complete work orders by noting identifying data on completed harnesses.Essential Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and assembly techniques.

Experience with tape measures and blueprint reading.

Machine operation skills.

Ability to work as a general production worker.

Work Environment

The position is located in a light industrial manufacturing facility. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Personal protective equipment, including closed-toed shoes and safety glasses, is required to ensure safety while working.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
