Job Description

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

Generate programs for 3 and 5 axis routers, mills, and other machining centers.

Design and develop tooling and machining fixtures.

Read and comprehend work orders, production instructions, 2D Prints, and 3D Models

Track and document all revisions to product drawings and tooling

Partner with Engineering and Sales to ensure parts meet customer specifications

Provide feedback to management on potential risks, possible improvements, and problem resolution

Ensure all projects/parts comply with required specifications and meet quality standards

Precisely machine parts to specifications using machine tools; CNC mills, 3 and 5 axis routers; Haas, Fadal, DMS

Accurately calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers

Complete machine set-ups to part specifications

Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process

Ensure that materials and molds meet quality standards and are production ready

Assist with machine maintenance and adhere to maintenance schedulesEssential Skills

Experience in machine shop, job shop, or production environments

Knowledge of MasterCAM and SolidWorks

Proficient with CAD/CAM systemsAdditional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with CNC machine setup, operation, and programming

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
