Facilities Maintenance Technician

Type of Role: Contract to Hire

Shift / Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (May Require Odd Hours)

Location:South Austin, TX

Hourly Range: $18

About the Job:

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and upkeep in a manufacturing environment. This role requires independent work and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks in a hot environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts, using hand tools, and handling general facility maintenance.

Role and Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repairs as needed throughout the facility.

Operate forklifts to transport materials and equipment safely.

Collect and dispose of metal and wood shavings using large buckets.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on machinery and facility infrastructure.

Adapt to odd-hour work schedules when necessary for maintenance tasks.

Skills and Experience:

Experience operating forklifts (certification preferred but not required).

Proficiency with hand tools and general maintenance work.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Comfortable working in a hot environment with physically demanding tasks.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
