We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to join our dedicated team in the healthcare industry. This role is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in insurance verification, precertification, authorizations, and accounts receivable. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the revenue cycle management process, ensuring that all financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
As our Revenue Cycle Manager, you will:
1. Manage and oversee the entire revenue cycle process, from patient admission to payment collection.
2. Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure all necessary authorizations and precertifications are obtained prior to services being provided.
3. Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collection of payments.
4. Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
5. Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue cycle performance and reduce bad debt.
6. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to billing and collections.
7. Train and mentor staff on revenue cycle processes and best practices.
8. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve communication related to patient billing and collections.
9. Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Revenue Cycle Manager position should possess the following:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management in the healthcare industry.
2. Proven experience with insurance verification, precertification, authorizations, and accounts receivable.
3. A deep understanding of healthcare billing and collections regulations and best practices.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze revenue cycle data.
5. Excellent leadership skills with experience training and mentoring staff.
6. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with other departments.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think strategically.
8. Proficiency in using revenue cycle management software.
9. An associates degree in finance, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.
