Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Network Administrator to join our team in Moline, Illinois. In this role, you will assist in managing and maintaining network systems to ensure reliable and secure operations. Responsibilities:
• Assist in the configuration and maintenance of local and wide area networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor network performance metrics and resolve connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
• Provide first-level technical support for network-related inquiries and troubleshoot hardware or software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations and IT equipment inventory.
• Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard the network, such as access controls and antivirus solutions.
• Collaborate with the IT team to perform routine updates, patches, and system maintenance.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execute backup procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in networking and cybersecurity.• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnets, and VPN configurations.
• Familiarity with Windows server environments and their management.
• Experience working with network hardware, such as Cisco, Meraki, or Sonicwall devices, is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to travel when necessary.
• Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, are a plus.
