Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team on the 2nd or 3rd shift. This position involves operating packaging and processing machinery in a dynamic environment. The role requires proficiency in technical operations, equipment setup, and adjustments to maintain optimal performance levels. You will be integral to the manufacturing of chocolate and candy products.
Responsibilities
Correlate production tallies with the Production Supervisor.
Execute packaging and processing operations effectively.
Maintain clear and positive communication with supervisors and lead personnel.
Adhere to sanitation, quality assurance, HACCP, and GMP procedures to ensure product quality.
Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.
Keep work areas and machinery clean, performing specified cleaning duties at the end of product runs and shifts.
Offer suggestions to management for improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions.
Conduct and record hourly metal detector, package verification, and weight checks.
Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control as requested.
Maintain flexibility to perform various production roles as needed.
Report any food safety and quality concerns immediately to supervisors or lead personnel.Essential Skills
Ability to read and follow work-related materials and directions.
1 to 4 years of applicable experience to become technically proficient.
Understanding of mechanical components and electronic controls of equipment.
Knowledge of chocolate composition and function, and troubleshooting skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work as a team member and support co-workers and company policies.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred experience in production or manufacturing environments.Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of York, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $41600.00/yr.
Fully bilingual facility in both English and Spanish (must be able to read and write in on of the 2 languages)
