Job Title: Wire Harness Crimper
Job Description
Join our dynamic team in the crimping department where you will play a vital role in assembling electronic components. You will be responsible for reading and following wire harness assembly instructions, organizing materials and tools, and performing tasks such as routing, cutting, measuring, and assembling wires using layout boards. This role requires the operation of small handheld equipment and conducting functional tests on wire harnesses and cable assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong mathematical aptitude, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities
Read and follow wire harness assembly instructions.
Gather materials and tools in an organized manner.
Route, cut, measure, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout boards.
Operate small handheld equipment such as crimp presses, hand crimpers, wire twisters, and wire strippers.
Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harness and cable assemblies using test fixtures.
Use a solder iron to solder wire to switches or connectors.
Perform visual inspections of in-process and final products.
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds when required.Essential Skills
Attention to detail and excellent hand dexterity.
Proficiency in basic math skills and use of a tape measure.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Basic knowledge of hand tools like torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers.
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
Work Environment
Work in a light industrial manufacturing facility with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Closed-toed shoes and safety glasses are required as part of the PPE.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mont Alto, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
