Our client, a well-known employer in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire position, and while the role is remote, candidates must reside in the Portland, OR area.
Key Responsibilities
As a Credit Analyst, you will:
Support Credit Administrators in managing accounts and evaluating credit risks, including recommending adjustments to credit limits.
Gather and review financial documents, credit reports, and references to help assess potential and existing customers’ creditworthiness.
Maintain and update accurate credit files, including commercial credit reports, bank and trade references, and customer correspondence.
Handle credit reference requests and maintain the Trade AR Issues Log, tracking necessary documentation for payment discrepancies.
Assist with daily adjustments for the business and resolve discrepancies through collaboration with team members and customers.
Generate historical customer reports and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly department reporting using Excel.
Support monthly compliance reporting for international sales and receipts, in addition to month-end close activities.
Adhere to all anticorruption compliance requirements, ensuring the maintenance of records aligns with GAAP and company policies.
Assist in various projects and department needs as required.
Ability to work remotely while residing in Portland, OR.
Prior experience in credit, accounts receivable, or a related financial/administrative role.
Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with a collaborative team mindset.
