AutoCAD Drafter (2D/3D)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled AutoCAD Drafter with experience in both 2D and 3D drafting. The ideal candidate will also possess hands-on knowledge of FARO laser scanning, point cloud data processing, and 3D model stitching. This role involves translating field-collected data into accurate, high-quality CAD drawings for use in architecture, construction, or engineering applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD based on specifications and field data

Work with FARO scanners or similar laser scanning technology to collect accurate site data

Process and stitch point cloud data into coherent 3D models or CAD files

Collaborate with engineers, architects, or project managers to ensure drawings align with project requirements

Maintain organized project files and ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of work

Update and revise existing drawings as needed based on design changes or redlines

Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D drafting)

Experience with FARO laser scanning equipment, software (e.g., SCENE), and point cloud stitching

Ability to interpret architectural or engineering plans and translate scan data into usable CAD models

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drafting tasks simultaneously

Familiarity with additional modeling software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, or SolidWorks) is a plus

Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
